Lateral thinking

We were given tasks which required thinking outside the box. These were the tasks that we were given:

Remove 8 matches to leave just 2 squares, which should not touch.

Move 3 matches so that the pattern points down instead of up.

Your task is to join all nine dots using only four (or less) straight lines, without lifting your pencil from the paper and without retracing the lines.
We did these tasks to increase our lateral thinking.

Catch phrase

We were given a task to create image that would represent a catch phrase that we were given. To do that we brainstormed and then did a sketch. We were given a phrase called barking up the wrong tree. So I drew two trees and a dog barking at one tree and in the other tree I putted cat in so it shows that a dog is barking at wrong tree.We decided not to show the whole image at first and only show part of image unfortunately catch phrase was guessed really quickly.

Creating logo from your name

I found out that my name Edvinas (Edwin) came from old English language and means wealth and friend. So I decided to create a smiling person from my name which will represent a friend as friends are bigest riches.

The great egg drop

We have been assigned to create a way to protect the egg from from breaking while thrown from various heights. We been assigned to groups and to create that structure we had to use sealing tape and 6 straws.
To develop our idea we used brainstorming.
At first I had an idea to make a little trampoline but we we found out that egg will have to be droped from as high as 3-4 stories. Then we discussed about idea of just taping whole egg with sealing tape. We decided to go with more creative approach and decided to role some tape on egg then make small balls from tape which would act like a cushion. also with using straws we created pyramid shaped parachute.
Egg survived after droping from first and second floor but it broke after droping from third floor (last floor).
